Manchester United’s next plan revealed after Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit

After Cristiano Ronaldo left the team, Manchester United’s next move was made public.

Ronaldo’s contract will be terminated with immediate effect, Man United said in a statement on Tuesday night.

Prior to the January transfer window, Ronaldo is a free agent and can join any team.

Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, claims that Manchester United is currently searching the market for a striker to replace Cristiano Ronaldo in January.

Romano also disclosed that by ending Ronaldo’s contract, Man United saved about £17 million.

On Wednesday morning, Romano posted the following on Twitter:

Manchester United will save around £17m as Cristiano Ronaldo agreed not to receive any payoff.

“Plan was to invest in a new striker in July, but Man Utd are now already exploring the market to find a solution in January.

Ronaldo is currently competing for Portugal in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
